When I try to update Club News by going to Activity/Update
Club News, nothing happens and Wordpad doesn’t launch.
|
|
|
Go into Windows Explorer, double-click on the EAGLE folder, and
click on the Data folder underneath. Now on the right hand side of the
screen find the file called ClubNews.doc. Double click that file and
Wordpad should execute so you can edit Club News.

When I double click on the EAGLE icon, a message appears
stating “Unable to find EAGLE system data. Please specify a new data path
or contact customer service for support”. What do I do?
|
|
|
If this is the only computer the EAGLE system is on, the data
path should read: C:\EAGLE\DATA. If it doesn’t, be sure the Drive is
pointing to your local hard drive (usually C,) then in Directories double click
on the EAGLE folder and then the Data folder. Click OK.
If you are running a network and this is a workstation, reboot
your computer first and the network connection should reestablish. If it
doesn’t, either your server is down or you may need to re-map the drive to the
server.

I have the EAGLE handicap label printer. When I
print out a label, it feeds through the printer but comes out blank. Is
it set up wrong?
|
|
|
Most likely the printer is set up correctly since the label
feeds, however it sounds like the labels are in upside down. The labels
should come up from the bottom of the roll not over it.

I have a touchscreen monitor and the cursor isn’t going
where I touch. How do I fix it?
|
|

gray screen will display with targets to touch. Once finished, your
cursor should go where you touch.

When I go into the Handicap system, I get a message that
informs me that my database version does not match the version of this
software. If I press OK, I can get into the system. Is this OK?
|
|
|
No, this should be corrected so as not to cause errors in your
data.
Exit out of EAGLE. Go to Start/Programs/Windows Explorer.
Double click on the EAGLE folder and then double click the Data folder.
In the Data folder there will be a file called Eaglecnv.exe. Double click
this file to run it and convert your data to the correct version. Now
when you go into the handicap system, you will not get that message.

is not listed. How do I get it added?

For clubs that transmit into the Data Center, you may need to
transmit and pick up the most current ‘Away Course’ file. If the club is
still not listed, contact either your Association or Star Plan Data Systems.
For clubs that are ‘stand-alone’, exit Score and go to
Activity/Away Course Information. Add the club here.

I transmitted to the Data Center but the indexes didn’t
update.
|
|
|
On the Online screen, the second box, Update Official Indexes,
needs to be checked when doing an EOP process. It is possible that this
was not checked. Check the box and resend. The transmission simply
may have failed while sending in which case just resend them.
